Tea time is a part of every Brit’s life and since moving here almost 3 years ago it has become a part of mine; I’m always on the hunt for a new tea spot, one that has charm or might be super corky, and boy did I find that with the Mad Hatters Tea time. Alice in Wonderland was one of my favourite films growing up maybe it was the fact that Alice goes on a wild adventure, meets crazy yet endearing characters and oh yea has the best afternoon tea with the Mad Hatter. My favorite things about 2016 – London edition

2016 has been a year of loss and surprises and I know a lot of people are excited for the year to come to an end, I mean Trump became president, we lost music legends like Bowie, Price, and Lenard Cohen, we lost Carrie Fisher *insert crying emoji* the galaxy will never be the same without Princess Leia, and so many more great and inspirational people; now I could sit here and dwell on all the negative or I could take the time to appreciate my life in London, I’m going to go with appreciate my time in London. 2016 has been a crazy year for me but in all that craziness I fell more in love with London and all it has to offer.  Continue reading “My favorite things about 2016 – London edition”

Shoreditch – The Land of Street Art in London

Shoreditch has come a long way in the last few decades, and has become one of the hot spots in London – that’s right people from all over actually want to visit Shoreditch! After the Second World War the area was left in complete disarray and many people were leaving East London for bigger and better things, so that left numerous warehouses and buildings empty for the taking. Due to the vacancy a lot of artists started moving to Shoreitch and revitalized the area and turned it into paradise for artists. The area is now a creative hotspot in London, whether it’s fashion, photography, film or my favourite… street art. I may be a little bias because I live in Shoreditch but the area has some of the best street art in London, and what I love most is that the street art is always changing, so you get to see pieces from different street artists. Now when I say street art I don’t mean tagging, I mean art, some of the work I’ve seen on the street of Shoreditch should definitely be in a museum. The street art in the area gives Shoreditch that special charm that gets people flocking to area and coming back for more. Even though Shoreditch is not a big area there are various streets to find street art; I will be talking about some of my favourite spots with the best street art – definitely Instagram worthy! Exploring Brighton

Brighton is one of those hidden gems that most people outside the UK don’t know about, and

Brighton beach 2 that’s such a shame! Brighton is the perfect combination of a sea-side town and a city, so there’s no way anyone could ever get bored. There are numerous shops, cafes and who could forget the Brighton Pier which brought back so many memories from my childhood.  Continue reading “Exploring Brighton”
